Cab

The redesigned cab of the Mega can be raised up to 5 m in height.The new parallel mechanism enables a variety of cab positions to be selected for driving on the road and for the loading process. This enables all the various requirements of road transport and loading to be accommodated. During road transport the cab is in a driving position close to the road, and with its unrestricted visibility to the sides gives the driver safe control of the machine even on narrow roads. The cab is also directly and easily accessible by means of a four-step ladder. The cab can be moved to the upper position for loading by the simple press of a button. The driver’s seat is positioned at a height of 5 m above road level, ensuring optimum visibility and control of the loading situation. Intermediate positions are also possible. The arrangement of the complete drive unit in the rear part of the machine keeps the noise level in the cab extremely low; this also improves the driver’s conditions.

Control

The controls of the Mega have been completely redesigned. All the main components are driven by output-controlled hydraulics and fitted with a comprehensive monitoring system. The software, on a new colour terminal, and the control elements on the console offer functions and fine settings the contribute to safety, yield quality and alertness of the operator. Another benefit is the automated procedure for preparing the Mega for the loading process or for road transport, which is triggered simply by pressing a button in the cab. The video colour monitor with split-screen display keeps the driver informed of the various working levels.
