Following the well-tried model of the DLG field days,
this kind of event was organised, for the first time, in Turkey from the 27th to 30th of May 2010. The exhibition took place in Thrakien at the northern coast of the Sea of Marmara, near the city of Tekirdag in the European part of Turkey. This is a region which is highly marked by a rapidly developing and emerging agriculture. The event was organized by DLG Fuarcilik, a common venture of DLG-Agriservice GmbH (subsidiary of DLG/German Agricultural Association) and the Önder Çiftçi Project (ÖÇP), a Turkish consulting firm which was already initiated by the DLG in 1987. People were very interested. About 30 000 visitors were present on the test field, the campus and during the machine presentations in order to inform themselves about current developments. Together with our distribution partner in Turkey, LAVERDA A.S. based in Gaziemir/IZMIR, we presented our sugar beet harvester SF 10-2 during the field days.
